A DNF That Didn’t Hook Me

Review:
Welp, this one’s been gathering dust on my "currently reading" shelf for way too long, and at this point? I’m throwing in the towel. Quicksilver just didn’t grab me—no spark, no obsession, not even a mild "Hmm, what happens next?"

And can we talk about the name Kingfisher? I’m sorry, but every time I read it, my brain just went: King. Fish. King. Fish. Zero intimidation, maximum distraction. Not exactly the vibe you want from a character who’s supposed to be compelling.

The premise had potential, but the execution left me underwhelmed. Maybe it’s a me problem, maybe it’s a book problem—either way, I’m out.

Verdict: 2/5 ⭐ (for effort, I guess?) – If you loved it, tell me why; maybe I missed something.

Maybe one day in the future I'll reread it and see if i love it.
