Review: Fantasy Lover

Fantasy Lover Fantasy Lover by Sherrilyn Kenyon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

five stars....
i loved this book from beginning to the end. just loved it.
grace you are the luckiest girl in the planet...a Greek man like Julian was exactly what you needed and you were exactly what he needed. my god...i loved it.
this book was amazing...

After rereading this in 2023 I have the following to say:
Grace Alexander, is a strong, likable protagonist who's on a quest to uncover the truth about her mysterious and alluring dream lover, Julian of Macedon. Sherrilyn Kenyon has a gift for weaving together elements of ancient Greece with modern-day society to create a richly imagined world that feels both familiar and new.

The characters in this book are incredibly well-developed, especially Grace and Julian. Their chemistry is palpable, and the way their relationship unfolds is both heartwarming and intense. The plot is full of surprises and keeps you on the edge of your seat. There's never a dull moment, and the action-packed climax will leave you breathless.

Overall, I highly recommend "Fantasy Lover" to anyone who loves fantasy and romance novels. It's a must-read for anyone looking for a thrilling escape into a world of magic and love. If you're a fan of Sherrilyn Kenyon, you won't be disappointed. And if you're new to her work, prepare to be swept away. This is a book you won't be able to put down.

So, ladies and gentlemen book two is a much netter read than book one. And I am so here for it. so happy.

Iloved this book more than the first and it could easily show with smile that was plastered on my face as I was reading it. I knew there was somethign wrong with Tamlin from book one and it all came to light in this book. Hey Rhys, I knew why I liked you from book one. you sneaky man...almost made me swoon. Feyre, you are definetely what we need. Go girl!

I want to write more but I have to start book three.

Review: A Court of Thorns and Roses

A Court of Thorns and Roses A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

So, I finally finished this one after such a long time and I am happy I somehow managed to get to the very end. Also, I am a bit more excited for book two. Is it Rhysand? Possibly.

I started this book earlier this year and at 40 percent, I stopped. Then today I decided to get back to it and it was a great read. Now, this is my first time reading any of this author’s books. I like her writing style. It’s good.

The characters:

I was rooting for Feyre and that is what I search for most when I am reading a book these days. If I am rooting for you as a character then it means I connected with the character. This is good news!

Tamlin: I should read book two to have any judgment on you.

Rhysand: there is something about him that captivated me.

The plot was significantly good. The trials were a bit unexpected and that third trial, I was half convinced she would fail. I like it when there is good plot. We all do!

Well, let me go and read the second book.

Review: Midnight Soul

Midnight Soul Midnight Soul by Kristen Ashley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Against his will, Noctorno Hawthorne, an undercover vice cop, finds himself embroiled in magic, mayhem and parallel universes. Too late, he meets an amazing woman only to find she’s destined for his identical twin in another world.

And things aren’t going real great there.

Noc is recruited to help save that world.

What he doesn’t know is his destined love resides there.

Franka Drakkar wears a mask. A mask she never takes off to protect herself in a world of malice, intrigue and danger.

When Franka meets Noc and he discovers her secrets, convinced she carries a midnight soul, having shielded herself from forming bonds with anyone, she struggles with accepting his tenderness and care.

When Noc meets Franka, over wine and whiskey, her masks slips and Noc knows it’s her—only her—and he has to find a way to get her to come home with him.

And then make her want to stay.

Here is my view on things, there are some moments well, all moment that I expect to love something before it even comes out. This was so very true on this book…because I am Kristen Ashley fan…. And then there are other days I am not sure that I will love something but I give it a chance.

As I mentioned this book, I expected to looove it, and possibly worship it until the next great thing came along to weep my attention.

I cannot say I am fully in love with this book and nor can I say that I love it or like it for that matter. It’s more of I was getting there; I was almost in love with book.

Does that make any sense?

I am stuck half way in love and half way in like with this one.

Haha!

Anyway, this as a good read. I read from the vey first page to the last. I liked Franka in previous books but this time, she as the heroine and I was supposed to love her. And there were points in the story that I did but then got over her at other points.

I was almost bored at a certain point.

I wanna cry…

Noctorno, gave me joy. Alpha and what not but sensitive too. Mh, good one. but we all know my favorite KA hero will always be DAX LAHN. Now that was a god among men!

Because even after all that I still gave this book four freaking stars. And it is because it was a good book and I have been waiting for this for a long while. Seriously a long time. And that part I nthis book about the other world Circe and her Dax...oh my lord! Now that was something. I needed more of that in my life…

Please…well I can’t beg because all is done. Till that part with the two of them...Now that is a story I would pay a lot of money to read.

Kristen Ashley…may you keep rocking my world girlfriend!

Review: Lord of the Fading Lands

Tairen Soul Series by C.L. Wilson

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This I a review for all five books because once I began this series there was no moment in between where I wanted to stop and write down thoughts on the finished book, so a full review of all five books will do… no spoilers!

WOW, would be the very first thing that comes to mind when I think about this world I was just spun into and weaved very carefully into its mists. I never wanted to leave…not even once. I was wound up in the world, the story and the characters themselves.

Everything came to life in this book. it was almost as if I was reading a story that was real and had happened somewhere on this real earth.

WOW!

First time ever reading anything by C.J. Wilson and I am absolutely in love. You write beautifully, and the words just pushed me into a certain sphere where nothing existed but the characters and the story. Excellent work, Excellent indeed.

This was a world created like none I have ever read about. Forget about Sherrilyn Kenyon’s darkhunterverse…this was just brilliance screaming a very high perfect note. This world included normal humans, fey, witches, elves, mage and much more. Now, I am not a very big fan of this kind of fantasy but I do not know what happened…I just fell in love with this one. So totally and completely.

It was perfect in all ways it can be/

The characters were all welcoming. All of them, from the two main characters;rain and ellysetta (beatfiull name btw) to the other characters, Bel, Shan, Elfeya, Adrial, Gaelen, the twins, and everyone else.

You know when I started this book, I thought it would just be a simple book but no. it turned out to be more than just a simple story . it became a story that grew from a simple story to a complex yet beautiful story.

I loved every part of it, I loved how it all came.

I want to say I am speechless but no I am not. I am in awe of this story. Would I ever write five books the way this author has done? I hope so…one day.

This was too good.

I repeat…too good.

In love!!!

I cannot say that enough to make it clear how much I just loved this book. This book took me to another whole world and when I say I loved it from the first chapter to the last I mean it with every breath I am taking.

It had me laughing, and sad at time and the nit just gave me plain good sexy high shivers and that for me is the sign of a good book. I loved it

Review: Stepbrother Romance: Stepbrother Untamed - Forbidden Desire

Stepbrother Romance: Stepbrother Untamed - Forbidden Desire Stepbrother Romance: Stepbrother Untamed - Forbidden Desire by Phoenix Black
My rating: 1 of 5 stars

Ever since the mother of Jade married to the father of Rick, she has been eye-balling him. Jade has always been obnoxious with her intent, but her stepbrother doesn't seem to reply all her attempts to seduce him.

Jade is trying everything to seduce him, but it doesn't seem to work.

Jade: "Of course, because my life likes to torture me, Rick works from home. Or, from his room, that is. He stays cooped up in there all day long, the room right next to mine, and I can hear him – muttering to himself, moving around, talking to his friends, talking to his canvas. And it drives me crazy! Like having a delicious cookie hanging over your head so that you can smell it, and see it, but your tongue is just out of reach. ".

REVIEW

What did I just read?

Call it madness!

I spent like a total of five minutes reading the whole book from page one to the last page. I mean seriously? Since it was in my kindle I had to ask myself whether it was a sample that I had downloaded to try out…because it was that short.

And basically this is just a fantasy read. There is no story there to keep you interested or let you get to know the characters in deep. So if you are searching for a good ole story to read and keep you smiling this is not for you. This is a quick fantasy read that you can finish it minutes.

I did not like the characters too…and I think the reason is because I was not deeply invested in them. I did not know anything about them other than the girl wanted the step brother and the latter pretended to not want her in the beginning….

I am done!
