Review: Still Standing

Still Standing Still Standing by Kristen Ashley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

And my heart and the butterflies living in my stomach said AMEN. This book was exactly what I was waiting for and exactly to my heart’s content.

Every time I take a deep breath, I realize that I am still hooked by the characters in the book. I am very hooked and happily so. It is amazing how a good story can live in your head and dismantle your current reality.

I loved every bit of the story. How they met (that pool game and the drinks my mans West “Buck” knew exactly what he was doing and my girl had no chance.), how the story progressed, and everything. West aka Buck thank you for being a cool ass character. There was that one time that I really got annoyed but I forgive you. Clara, oh sweetheart you were perfect.

To the author, thank you for taking me back to the old you. I was so messed up emotionally with this one and it is all I aim to be when I read a book. Cheers.

I want to write something longer but this is where I end it.
Five freaking amazing stars!

Review: Midnight Soul

Midnight Soul Midnight Soul by Kristen Ashley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Against his will, Noctorno Hawthorne, an undercover vice cop, finds himself embroiled in magic, mayhem and parallel universes. Too late, he meets an amazing woman only to find she’s destined for his identical twin in another world.

And things aren’t going real great there.

Noc is recruited to help save that world.

What he doesn’t know is his destined love resides there.

Franka Drakkar wears a mask. A mask she never takes off to protect herself in a world of malice, intrigue and danger.

When Franka meets Noc and he discovers her secrets, convinced she carries a midnight soul, having shielded herself from forming bonds with anyone, she struggles with accepting his tenderness and care.

When Noc meets Franka, over wine and whiskey, her masks slips and Noc knows it’s her—only her—and he has to find a way to get her to come home with him.

And then make her want to stay.

Here is my view on things, there are some moments well, all moment that I expect to love something before it even comes out. This was so very true on this book…because I am Kristen Ashley fan…. And then there are other days I am not sure that I will love something but I give it a chance.

As I mentioned this book, I expected to looove it, and possibly worship it until the next great thing came along to weep my attention.

I cannot say I am fully in love with this book and nor can I say that I love it or like it for that matter. It’s more of I was getting there; I was almost in love with book.

Does that make any sense?

I am stuck half way in love and half way in like with this one.

Haha!

Anyway, this as a good read. I read from the vey first page to the last. I liked Franka in previous books but this time, she as the heroine and I was supposed to love her. And there were points in the story that I did but then got over her at other points.

I was almost bored at a certain point.

I wanna cry…

Noctorno, gave me joy. Alpha and what not but sensitive too. Mh, good one. but we all know my favorite KA hero will always be DAX LAHN. Now that was a god among men!

Because even after all that I still gave this book four freaking stars. And it is because it was a good book and I have been waiting for this for a long while. Seriously a long time. And that part I nthis book about the other world Circe and her Dax...oh my lord! Now that was something. I needed more of that in my life…

Please…well I can’t beg because all is done. Till that part with the two of them...Now that is a story I would pay a lot of money to read.

Kristen Ashley…may you keep rocking my world girlfriend!

Review: Fantastical

Fantastical Fantastical by Kristen Ashley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Was this book worth the time I spent reading?
YES
YES
YES

I cannot say that enough to make it clear how much I just loved this book. This book took me to another whole world and when I say I loved it from the first chapter to the last I mean it with every breath I am taking.

It had me laughing, and sad at time and the nit just gave me plain good sexy high shivers and that for me is the sign of a good book. I loved it

Review: Broken Dove

Broken Dove Broken Dove by Kristen Ashley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Far too young, Apollo Ulfr lost Ilsa, his wife, the love of his life and the mother of his two children. The grief of her loss does not settle in his soul, it solders to it. But when he discovers there is a parallel universe where his wife may have a twin, he feels there's hope and sets about bringing her to his world so he can have her back. But Ilsa Ulfr of our world is married to the parallel universe's twin, Pol, who is not a good man. Not in any way. She's on the run from him and the last thing she wants is to be transported to a fantastical world and be forced to take his side as his wife, even if he is not Pol. And Apollo finds the broken, bitter Ilsa nothing like his beloved and he further wants nothing to do with her. But darkness is looming and evil is amassing. Apollo must protect his land and keep his family safe, including the new Ilsa.

SO I think I have reread this three times in the space of two weeks.

Fair enough to say that this is one heck of an adventure that had me wishing it happened to me. well not the beating part but almost everything else.

I loved this book and as a person who loves fiction I have to say this book is now series is now highlighting my favourite books ever.

I loved me all the characters and KA fever is slowly setting in! loved it.

Review: The Golden Dynasty

The Golden Dynasty
by Kristen Ashley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I do not know what was better about this book, me reading this book and the main Lahn who kept reminding me so much of Jason Momoa's character Khal Drogo in game of thrones or what!
It was a love story and an adventure that surpassed so many books I have read in the recent months. I do not even know how I decided to read this series in the first. All I can say is that I am thankful to have read such an amazing book.
The Golden dynasty was fantastically weird at some points especially the beginning when the wife hunt was on but after that I found myself falling for every thing.
A sweet, marvelous ride and a real true pleasure reading this.
Lahn and Circe, you sweethearts!
