Review: Dark Lover

Dark Lover Dark Lover by J.R. Ward
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I first read this book in 2013, and I got so completely lost in it that now, 13 years later, I’m diving back in. Of course, I’ve revisited it many times over the years, but this reread has made me realize just how masterfully J.R. Ward pulled me into her world. Wrath, "the King," and Beth... I adore them so much. And thanks to the Passionflix adaptation, I’ve been drawn back into their story all over again.

Review: The Curse that Binds

The Curse that Binds The Curse that Binds by Laura Thalassa
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I started writing this review before even finishing the book—no idea why, but here we are.

Is it a good book? Yes, absolutely.
Am I enjoying it? So far, so good!
Do I love the characters? Memnon and Roxi are wonderful, even though his name is a bit of a mouthful (how do you even pronounce it?).

Review: Lord of the Fading Lands

Tairen Soul Series by C.L. Wilson

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This I a review for all five books because once I began this series there was no moment in between where I wanted to stop and write down thoughts on the finished book, so a full review of all five books will do… no spoilers!

WOW, would be the very first thing that comes to mind when I think about this world I was just spun into and weaved very carefully into its mists. I never wanted to leave…not even once. I was wound up in the world, the story and the characters themselves.

Everything came to life in this book. it was almost as if I was reading a story that was real and had happened somewhere on this real earth.

WOW!

First time ever reading anything by C.J. Wilson and I am absolutely in love. You write beautifully, and the words just pushed me into a certain sphere where nothing existed but the characters and the story. Excellent work, Excellent indeed.

This was a world created like none I have ever read about. Forget about Sherrilyn Kenyon’s darkhunterverse…this was just brilliance screaming a very high perfect note. This world included normal humans, fey, witches, elves, mage and much more. Now, I am not a very big fan of this kind of fantasy but I do not know what happened…I just fell in love with this one. So totally and completely.

It was perfect in all ways it can be/

The characters were all welcoming. All of them, from the two main characters; rain and ellysetta (beautiful name btw) to the other characters, Bel, Shan, Elfeya, Adrial, Gaelen, the twins, and everyone else.

You know when I started this book, I thought it would just be a simple book but no. it turned out to be more than just a simple story . it became a story that grew from a simple story to a complex yet beautiful story.

I loved every part of it, I loved how it all came.

I want to say I am speechless but no I am not. I am in awe of this story. Would I ever write five books the way this author has done? I hope so…one day.

This was too good.

I repeat…too good.

In love!!!

Review: Broken Dove

Broken Dove Broken Dove by Kristen Ashley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Far too young, Apollo Ulfr lost Ilsa, his wife, the love of his life and the mother of his two children. The grief of her loss does not settle in his soul, it solders to it. But when he discovers there is a parallel universe where his wife may have a twin, he feels there's hope and sets about bringing her to his world so he can have her back. But Ilsa Ulfr of our world is married to the parallel universe's twin, Pol, who is not a good man. Not in any way. She's on the run from him and the last thing she wants is to be transported to a fantastical world and be forced to take his side as his wife, even if he is not Pol. And Apollo finds the broken, bitter Ilsa nothing like his beloved and he further wants nothing to do with her. But darkness is looming and evil is amassing. Apollo must protect his land and keep his family safe, including the new Ilsa.

SO I think I have reread this three times in the space of two weeks.

Fair enough to say that this is one heck of an adventure that had me wishing it happened to me. well not the beating part but almost everything else.

I loved this book and as a person who loves fiction I have to say this book is now series is now highlighting my favourite books ever.

I loved me all the characters and KA fever is slowly setting in! loved it.

Kresley Cole I want to be you when I grow up or maybe one of your characters (the female kind). I absolutely fucking love you…I might even worship you. I swear…

I loved…loved…LOVED this book. The player made my day today as I read it April 25, 2016. It was a good day because of this book. I kept smiling like a crazy person and thinking wow, will you like ever write something I do not like? And the answer was simple…nope. I do not think that will happen. I mean, we can see this from the past and seeing as I have read all your books and none of them disappointed I am thinking I will always love your books.

The Player.

In the game maker series I do not know what to say which one was my absolute favorite because all the three Russians brothers were hot and just to my exact taste. I loved them all but Dmitri brought something new…something not very new but something I thought was freaking amazing.

No spoilers here but wow, that switch up near the end. I was amazed and in awe. Wow…I did not expect it but when I realized what had happened I was amazed and fell in love with the man Dmitri was even more…

I want to be Victoria.

Seriously!!

Their love story (Victoria and Dmitri) was very interesting and I was not bored one singe bit. I am in love….so in love..

Five stars…that I will be rereading soon again.

And honestly for all who have read this, did a part of you want to read about Victoria’s sister and Walker? I want their story….

Oh my…thank Kresley. This was amazing as expected.

Review: Dragonbane

Dragonbane Dragonbane by Sherrilyn Kenyon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Out of all the mysterious boarders who call Sanctuary home, no one is more antisocial or withdrawn than Maxis Drago. But then, it’s hard to blend in with the modern world when you have a fifty foot wingspan.

Centuries ago, he was cursed by an enemy who swore to see him fall. An enemy who took everything from him and left him forever secluded.

But Fate is a bitch, with a wicked sense of humor. And when she throws old enemies together and threatens the wife he thought had died centuries ago, he comes back with a vengeance. Modern day New Orleans has become a battleground for the oldest of evils. And two dragons will hold the line, or go down in flames.
Right now I have a huge smile plastered on my lips. You know the feeling when you are reading a good book and you want to get to the end so you can satisfy your curiosity about how everything ends but at the same time you do not want it to end?.

Well, that was me during the reading of this whole book.

Another book by Ms. Kenyon that I am in love with and honestly did not want to end. it was just so beautiful...very very beautiful.

"I went to war to practice for marriage"

the words they say. In short this is Sherrilyn and you can never be i disappointed. I have never been disappointed in any book she has ever written and I am happy she is among the few authors that can keep me hooked in a series as long as this one.

And this is a second chance romance with mixed secret baby. I was in my happy space reading this....so thank you very much.

Her heroes are just great. Sexy, hot, alphas and immortal (because these are the type of men who need to live forever). Her heroes are super cool that I want to be them. wohoo!

And it was no different for Max and Seraphina. they were great together and the emotions that coursed through them were vividly felt by anyone reading the story. This is my goal and trust me it was Goal reached.

Amazing book!

No

No

just. no.

When I am reading this is what I want...I want a story that captivates me not a quickie story that makes me feel like "ewww why is this character doing this?" i do not want to question my sef and over the years I have earned that a good author can make you love the shittiest things so much so you will be questioning your whole being... and have no regrets.

I was not connected with this book at all.

I mean yes to liberation and free sexualism but the way the mom and daughter talked about getting laid so casually! mh suspect!

It all felt like a fictional story and trust me it is not what i want to feel when reading. I want to believe the words I am reading and this one was too fake for me to even finish.

So I will end it like this...I did not like this book at all but I did not dislike the author's writing style just the story.

Review: Son of No One

Son of No One Son of No One by Sherrilyn Kenyon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It’s not easy being life’s own personal joke, but Josette Landry has made an unstable peace with the beast. Life will continue to throw every bad thing it has at her, and she will continue to not put her head in an oven. But that’s okay. That which doesn’t kill her will just require a few hours of mental insanity. Completely down on her luck, Josette takes a job with a local paranormal group trying to get their own cable show as a photographer and camerawoman. Yeah, they’re even crazier than she is. The only paranormal thing she believes in is the miracle that keeps her rusted out hoopty running. But when her group accidentally releases something truly evil into the world, they are forced to call in reinforcement.

From the moment Josette meets Cadegan, she knows something about him isn’t quite right. And it’s not just because she can’t even begin to pronounce his last name: Maboddimun. Mysterious and armed with lethal sarcasm, he seems a lot older than his apparent age…

Centuries ago, Cadegan sold his soul for vengeance against the betrayer who cursed him. Forced against his will to do good, he hates everything in life. All he wants is a way out. But for the damned there is only eternal suffering. And yet there is something about Josette that intrigues him as much as it irritates and frustrates him. Something he can’t seem to fight, and the last time he felt this way about a woman, it cost him his soul.

He knows he has to stay away from her, but the evil her friends unleashed is hellbent on consuming her soul. Something he cannot allow. If one more innocent is taken, he will be sent back to an unimaginable prison that makes his current hell look like paradise. But how can he keep her safe when his being with her is the greatest threat of all?.

I do not know but I think there is something about Sherrilyn Kenyon's writing that boggles my mind and make me crave more and I do not know what it is exactly.

She is the best writer and every time I read one of her books I am drawn by the depth of the characters and the depth of the story itself as well as the length of her books.

And it was not any different for this book. I was in love, hook, line and sinker. and man just amazing. it made me feel things and stuff, made me smile and most of all I connected with the characters so much and we all know no one can write a tortured hero like Kenyon... Blown away.

Son of No one. Wow!

Jo and Cadegan.

you two were awesome. I loved you very much and oh my gosh, at one point I got jealous of your love and if I could wish myself into a book then this would be it as much as sometimes it got a bit scary...well not that much but still I am in love with your love.

My views about every other character that appear in this book... I want to read all of their stories (for the ones I have yet to read)

~~five stars~~

Fast Track Fast Track by Julie Garwood
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

In Australia sparks are flying between Cordelia and Aiden, but multiple attempts on Aiden’s life are made while Cordelia is with him, and he realizes he must put a stop to the madness before he loses the thing he values most..

There was a point I was reading and I was thinking, oh this book is a four star for me which is abnormal because every Garwood book for me is always a five stars and then BAM....BOOM...BAM again and I changed my mind as soon as I read the next page.

FOur stars turned into Five stars in a mere second.

I love d this book and no body can change my mind about it.

It was written beautifully...obviously...It's Julie Garwood after all..

Cordie and Aiden story was sweet but man oh man I had hoped her mother would have had a better reason but nope..she was just plain evil and stupid.

I loved it...

I repeat

I loved it...

NOw if only This beautiful author could take a break from contemporary to historical...because we all know nobody writes a better historical than Julie Garwood.
