Review: The Deep End

The Deep End The Deep End by Kristen Ashley
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Well I just got the second book in this series and thought to myself that I needed to write a review of the first one before my mind messes things up.

Anyway, this review ought to be short because I don’t want to sit here remembering all the reason this book was a mess yet still a good read.

Kristen writes good books and the alpha men always pull me in and they story itself…well the story I just it. Fantastic!

But this book felt more like a sex exploration book than just a story. So it won’t fall into my best reads.

Anyway, hope book two is more of a story than just sex.

Kresley Cole I want to be you when I grow up or maybe one of your characters (the female kind). I absolutely fucking love you…I might even worship you. I swear…

I loved…loved…LOVED this book. The player made my day today as I read it April 25, 2016. It was a good day because of this book. I kept smiling like a crazy person and thinking wow, will you like ever write something I do not like? And the answer was simple…nope. I do not think that will happen. I mean, we can see this from the past and seeing as I have read all your books and none of them disappointed I am thinking I will always love your books.

The Player.

In the game maker series I do not know what to say which one was my absolute favorite because all the three Russians brothers were hot and just to my exact taste. I loved them all but Dmitri brought something new…something not very new but something I thought was freaking amazing.

No spoilers here but wow, that switch up near the end. I was amazed and in awe. Wow…I did not expect it but when I realized what had happened I was amazed and fell in love with the man Dmitri was even more…

I want to be Victoria.

Seriously!!

Their love story (Victoria and Dmitri) was very interesting and I was not bored one singe bit. I am in love….so in love..

Five stars…that I will be rereading soon again.

And honestly for all who have read this, did a part of you want to read about Victoria’s sister and Walker? I want their story….

Oh my…thank Kresley. This was amazing as expected.

No

No

just. no.

When I am reading this is what I want...I want a story that captivates me not a quickie story that makes me feel like "ewww why is this character doing this?" i do not want to question my sef and over the years I have earned that a good author can make you love the shittiest things so much so you will be questioning your whole being... and have no regrets.

I was not connected with this book at all.

I mean yes to liberation and free sexualism but the way the mom and daughter talked about getting laid so casually! mh suspect!

It all felt like a fictional story and trust me it is not what i want to feel when reading. I want to believe the words I am reading and this one was too fake for me to even finish.

So I will end it like this...I did not like this book at all but I did not dislike the author's writing style just the story.

Review: Stepbrother Romance: Stepbrother Untamed - Forbidden Desire

Stepbrother Romance: Stepbrother Untamed - Forbidden Desire Stepbrother Romance: Stepbrother Untamed - Forbidden Desire by Phoenix Black
My rating: 1 of 5 stars

Ever since the mother of Jade married to the father of Rick, she has been eye-balling him. Jade has always been obnoxious with her intent, but her stepbrother doesn't seem to reply all her attempts to seduce him.

Jade is trying everything to seduce him, but it doesn't seem to work.

Jade: "Of course, because my life likes to torture me, Rick works from home. Or, from his room, that is. He stays cooped up in there all day long, the room right next to mine, and I can hear him – muttering to himself, moving around, talking to his friends, talking to his canvas. And it drives me crazy! Like having a delicious cookie hanging over your head so that you can smell it, and see it, but your tongue is just out of reach. ".

REVIEW

What did I just read?

Call it madness!

I spent like a total of five minutes reading the whole book from page one to the last page. I mean seriously? Since it was in my kindle I had to ask myself whether it was a sample that I had downloaded to try out…because it was that short.

And basically this is just a fantasy read. There is no story there to keep you interested or let you get to know the characters in deep. So if you are searching for a good ole story to read and keep you smiling this is not for you. This is a quick fantasy read that you can finish it minutes.

I did not like the characters too…and I think the reason is because I was not deeply invested in them. I did not know anything about them other than the girl wanted the step brother and the latter pretended to not want her in the beginning….

I am done!

Review: Risking it All

Risking it All Risking it All by Tessa Bailey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

NYPD detective Seraphia Newsom will avenge her brother’s death at any cost. Even if it means insinuating herself into a rough, Brooklyn street gang and going so far undercover, she’s not sure she’ll be able to get out. Every minute she spends in their midst means the clock ticking down on her life, especially when she overhears something that could get her killed.
Bowen Driscol is the heir to a crime enterprise. He never asked for the job, but with his father behind bars, he has no choice but to step in and keep the operation running. But when the NYPD blackmails him with a piece of damning information in exchange for aiding an undercover cop, he finds himself on the other side of the law for the first time in his life.
Bowen knows the danger Sera is in, and keeping her safe trumps saving his own ass. The problem? She can’t know he’s on her side. And there's the matter of the seriously inconvenient heat sparking between them that's incinerating his resistance. But Sera only sees Bowen's past, and men like him are the reason her brother is dead. If they're to get out alive, he'll have to risk exposing the man beneath, and hope to hell he doesn't blow the whole operation in the process..

REVIEW

If you love a man who can talk dirty then this is the book you have been waiting for your whole life. I mean that like I have never meant anything else. Whoa! Like serious the dirty talk in this book is hotter than anything I have read in a long time and it is about time, I go fan myself.

Okay, I am back and let me start with the characters.

Bowen

(Cough, cough) excuse me while I go dance up and down because this happens every time I think of this guy. Wow, let me just say that Tessa Bailey is ruining me for real life men, I swear it. I cannot compare this character to anyone I have ever met but how I would love to meet someone like him.

The words that came from his lips…

"But I’ll get down on my knees and eat that untouched pussy like a motherfucker."

And more

"You could take me to mass everyday and I’d still be that kind of guy who would finger you in the back row."

Only he could mix mass and dirty talk in one sentence and then little me would love it.

Also shout out to the Swahili speakers as the author definitely made our language shine even if it was in one line.

Sera

Oh my gosh, first I am extremely jealous of you. She was utterly loved and still is loved by Bowen hence the extreme jealousy but she was a darling. She did not come out as whiney as some heroines I have read about.

No, she was perfect. She was sassy when need be and knew what she was doing. I love her.

The plot

Oh Tessa, the plotline was good. You know I love me some bad boys and good girl and the plot for this was well written. I approve.

Anyway overall, I am in love!
"I fucking love you Sera. you can do anything to me. anything. lie to me, lock me up, treat me like a monster and I would still fucking love you.".
