Review: Sweet Seduction Sacrifice

Sweet Seduction Sacrifice Sweet Seduction Sacrifice by Nicola Claire
My rating: 1 of 5 stars

So I never expected this to be DNF but it just happened.

I came across this book cause I was looking for something similar to Kristen Ashley. I needed the whole macho alpha thing instantly so then I read somewhere that this was a good series and as usual I got me some as fast as possible.

And then I started reading...

A straight nosedive I tell you and not in the sense that it was not good but in the sense that the story I as reading felt so familiar that I just had to put it down.

It may or may not be a coincidence but I am just saying...the similarities this book has to KA's RC is so wide that it pisses me off.

And excuse me Lawyer who I cannot remember your name...boundaries MF...Boundaries!

Imma end here!

Review: Hawke

Hawke Hawke by R.J. Lewis
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Hello Sexy!!!

Mysterious man with a dangerous past and a dangerous present life that intrigues me and who is an alpha to the boot and a bad ass motherfucking biker....give him to me anytime of day. Anytime.... just give him to me please.

Hawke, you were all that and more.. please let me dream of you. at least just one good good dream!

Tyler. you were all good for Hawke...Little young'un wanting the big ass biker. you remind me of me in my dreams when I think men like that would be good for me. but I know better...

Again, R.J.Lewis can write. the plot was intense and holy gods of Sumerian lore...that twist at the end. I never for once thought that it was that guy who betrayed the club. Nope, not even once which is how it is supposed to be.

Loved it. and I recommend to everyone. Now let me head to another one of your good books cause I am hooked.

Review: Borden 2

Borden 2 Borden 2 by R.J. Lewis
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

WOW!

Just when I thought this could not get any better. Well it does not pain me to say that this is one good book. Second book from this author but not my last. I loved the way she wrote everything in this book same as book one.

And if you are wondering you have to read Borden to understand this one...not a standalone but so worth the read, the time and the money.

R.J.Lewis you just earned yourself a new fan who is completely in love with your words.

I loved every bit.

This author can write...and the sex scenes. I like it jut the way you write it and holy good Lord of Heaven... the dirty things those two do. hot and bothered is what I feel every time I come across these scenes. and as many as they are they do not seem misplaced or just written to be page fillers. everything falls smoothly.

Can I be able to write like you please?

I want Hawke's book now.

Review: Borden

Borden Borden by R.J. Lewis
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

My very first time reading anything by this author and so far I know I want to read everything she has ever written. Just beautiful!

I really cannot pinpoint the exact moment that I fell in love with her words but I am definitely thinking the very first page. She writes so well and so captivating. I am hooked on her words...her words feel like a drug I cannot give up anytime soon.

Now onto the story itself.

Borden and Emma...

At first I have to admit to a bit of confusion. that first one part you know, the Marcus part. the confusion was mostly on who was the heroine but that got cleared very first and it gave an insight to who Borden was in the present time and what a revelation. For me it made me understand him.

So I obviously loved Borden and Emma was just the perfect fit for him completely.

The entire plot was exciting and holy shit the secondary character HAWKE to be specific were fucking awesome!!!

Loved it.. seriously. I recommend this to everyone out there. So on to book two I go!

Review: Breaking Her

Breaking Her Breaking Her by R.K. Lilley
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
DESTRUCTION. BETRAYAL. RUINATION. TRUE LOVE. Breaking Her Book Two in the Love is War Duet. This is the conclusion of Scarlett and Dante's story. SCARLETT He had done it again. Ravaged me. Burned me. Broke me. Given me air, only to leave me gasping, writhing. But then something changed. Something that terrified and excited me both. Something that utterly destroyed me. Something that made me whole again. DANTE Our love was cursed from the start. She didn't know it but I did. All she knew was that I'd lied to her, betrayed her. Done unforgivable things. Unavoidable things. Yes, I had broken promises as surely as I had broken her heart. But, just as every war has casualties, and every lie has consequences–every bastard has his reasons. .
This was a downward slope for me looking at it from book one.

Breaking him had me in twists, had my stomach in a choir with uneven voices I tell you. it gave me happy times and even though it ended with a massive cliffhanger it somehow managed to go where few books go and that is, all time favorite books.

and then I sat eagerly awaiting for book two, the conclusion of a great book. Was I disappointed? hell yes. Did I want to be disappointed? No. but it just happened.

It was still a good book, don't forget that one but not as great as the first one was.
And because I do not want to be anymore negative in this book, my review ends here.

Review: All the Rage

All the Rage All the Rage by T.M. Frazier
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

They call me Rage. My real name is like a shadow, always close behind, but never quite able to catch up. I fly under the radar because no one ever suspects I’m capable of the kind of brutal violence I commit each and every day. You see, I’m a girl. I’m nineteen. And I'm a killer. This life is all I know. It’s all I want to know. It keeps the s**t buried that I need kept buried. It allows me to live without thinking too much. Without dwelling on the past. Until him. It all changes when an ordinary boy becomes my next target. And my first love. I have to choose. The only life I’ve ever known has to die, or he does. Either way, I’ll be the one pulling the trigger...

Well rage, I have been wailing for your book for a while now and I have o say as usual T.M. Frazier did not disappoint. It was a good book, a really really really good book.

I loved it. It had all the elements I usually want in a book…from hot main characters with crazy characteristics all the way to very hot and extremely hot sex. Mrs. Frazier you had me fanning myself at times, it was that hot.

I did not put this book down until I finished it all and I am carefully thinking okay forget about thinking I want a hardcopy of this pronto…I need it to put in my all time favorite.

Rage…

You were simply put…golden. I loved that you were a strong girl who had weird shit going on for her that I would not want in real life but still I loved you. It is character like this that I love..For some weird reason.

Nolan…

You came off as this guy who was sweet and normal…that is in the beginning. Until the true marvelous colors you tried to hook off came to light. And those alpha tendencies I love so much came to full light.

The two of you together….

You two were a bomb...the bomb. The perfect couple.

Cannot say anything more…

I loved it.

my only issue with it, is that I wanted it to be longer.

Review: Edge of Surrender

Edge of Surrender Edge of Surrender by Laura Griffin
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Ryan had one job: keep Emma safe at all costs. But after a night of passion, Emma takes off and Ryan soon realizes he’s not the only one looking for her. Can he figure out who’s after the beautiful government aide, and why, before she falls into the wrong hands… if she hasn’t already?

Emma’s fighting to get justice for her fallen comrades, but she can’t do it alone. She needs Ryan’s help, but that means trusting him--and dealing with the out-of-control desire blazing between them. Can there be any future for a marked woman and a man trained to kill? She hopes they live long enough to find out….

I received an ARC in exchange for a review and I have to say I was not disappointed at all. This book is a second in the Edge series and well, I have to confess that I did not read the first book because I just got this one and hoped maybe it would not need the first book to understand.

Turns out I understood this one without needing to read the first book but then as I was reading I just felt the need to have read the first one too cause the writing in this one was just too beautiful to ignore.

Ryan and Emma were lovely. this is a romance book but at one point with this one I felt it was more suspense than romance. yet it was not an issue for one but because as I said earlier, this book was beautifuly written.

First time I am reading anything by this author but it will not be the last.

Review: Fast Track

Fast Track Fast Track by Julie Garwood
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A corrupt congressman, a mother’s secrets, and a sizzling romance ignite passion and suspense in the new novel from #1New York Times bestselling author Julie Garwood.

Cordelia Kane has always been a daddy’s girl—her father raised her alone after her mother died in a car crash when Cordelia was just two years old. So when he has a serious heart attack, Cordelia is devastated, and the emotion is only intensified by the confusion she feels when he reveals the shocking truth about her mother.

Cordelia can’t suppress her curiosity about the woman who gave birth to her, and when she discovers the answers to her questions lie in Sydney, Australia, she travels there to get them.

Hotel magnate Aiden Madison is Cordelia’s best friend’s older brother. He’s oblivious to the fact that she’s had a crush on him for years. When he gets railroaded into taking her along to Sydney on his company jet, he unknowingly puts her life at risk. He’s recently angered a powerful congressman by refusing to purchase overvalued land. Congressman Chambers is not a man to let such an offense slide, and he has the resources to get even and to get what he wants.

In Australia sparks are flying between Cordelia and Aiden, but multiple attempts on Aiden’s life are made while Cordelia is with him, and he realizes he must put a stop to the madness before he loses the thing he values most..

There was a point I was reading and I was thinking, oh this book is a four star for me which is abnormal because every Garwood book for me is always a five stars and then BAM....BOOM...BAM again and I changed my mind as soon as I read the next page.

FOur stars turned into Five stars in a mere second.

I love d this book and no body can change my mind about it.

It was written beautifully...obviously...It's Julie Garwood after all..

Cordie and Aiden story was sweet but man oh man I had hoped her mother would have had a better reason but nope..she was just plain evil and stupid.

I loved it...

I repeat

I loved it...

NOw if only This beautiful author could take a break from contemporary to historical...because we all know nobody writes a better historical than Julie Garwood.

Review: Taking Shots

Taking Shots Taking Shots by Toni Aleo
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Elli Fisher has never thought she was good enough, let it be her job, her weight, her love life, nothing. That is until she meets Shea Adler. After doing a promotional shoot for the NHL team, the Assassins, she meets the hunky hockey player who shoots a puck, shattering her world.
Shea Adler was tired of the life he was living outside of the rink. The girls, the money blowing, the drinking, everything had to stop and it all did when he met Eleanor Fisher. He had never met anyone like her. She was feisty, witty, shy, and simply gorgeous. When he laid eyes on her, it was as if he was taking the hardest hit of his life into the boards, and he had to have her. Elli is a little skeptical of Shea, but he knows that they were meant to be together, and he needed her in his life.
Can Elli throw her insecurities out the window and love Shea with everything inside of her, or will she let a past relationship, and her family ruin any chance of her being happy..
Here I was online feeling the need to read some writing like Mcnaught's, an emotional story that could capture me from beginning to the end with no paranormal cause hey I have been reading lots of those these days...and I came upon Toni Aleo...and well I am not disappointed this was definitely a very good read.

The story felt real, the characters felt real...I felt like i was reading a true story that happened or is happening somewhere.

Loved it...

My kind of thing.

Toni I am your newest fan.

And Alder and Ellie you two were as real as you can be. loved you both. loved the fact that he cried knowing he was loosing her and man...and I loved that she was not the perfect girl we read about every other time.

Generally this book was amazing and thank goodness I found it.

Review: Dirty Billionaire

Dirty Billionaire Dirty Billionaire by Meghan March
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I'm going to own this woman- body, heart, and fucking soul...
I've got a big dick and an even bigger bank account. That's pretty much where my bio ends. Honestly, I don't need to say anything else. I've just sold 99% of women on going home with me. Do I sound like an asshole to you? That's because I am.And guess what? It works for me just fine. Or at least it did.Until I met her.Books talk about sparks flying. Fuck that shit. With her, it was like emergency flares mixed with jet fuel. Or maybe just straight up napalm. Only one problem. She didn't leave her name or number when she disappeared from the hotel room after the hottest fucking night of my life. Now I've had a taste of unicorn pussy—the sweetest, rarest of all pussy—and I need it again. So what's an asshole to do?I took this problem to the street. A missed connection gone viral. And when I find her? I'm keeping her.
Creighton Karas. what is with this name that I find it so hot? I love the name...very much if you cannot tell.
Holly Wix. Well this name was okay it fit well with her country chick persona...somehow.

Were they good together? yes, they were. They both seemed interesting enough for me to keep reading. I believe this is my second Meghan March to read and i like her writing well enough to actually finish the book.

was their chemistry between the characters? mh, this for me is a bit of "seventy thirty" if you know what I mean.sometimes it was there and sometimes i felt a bit distance from the characters. (the thirty part).

but maybe it was because of the plot. I do not ant to write any spoilers but it almost seemed unreal that he would want to get married to her that quick.. so what if it was the best sex he ever had, still with all his millions he should have maybe had another plan. this for me was a bit unrealistic...but hey, that is just me and I am very judgmental bitch at times...

Anyway, go on and read this book. it might just be for you. oh yeah pus it has a cliffhanger (which sucks)

Review: Beneath This Mask

Beneath This Mask Beneath This Mask by Meghan March
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Okay, so this is among the first books by this author I am reading and I have to say so far so good. I am learning not to be too judgmental of the books I have read, so hang with me.

Beneath this mask was not what I fully expected but nevertheless what I go t I enjoyed to an extent. I always tell people if I finished a book till the very end then it must have had something I liked and the author’s writing was good.

Simon and Charlie were a good couple.

Review: The Sheikh's Reluctant American

The Sheikh's Reluctant American The Sheikh's Reluctant American by Leslie North
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I have to start of this review by commenting on the cover of this book. I mean seriously this is one of the most beautiful covers out there and it is strictly why I got this book in the first place. I think it is the red color. It happens to be my favorite color as of right now.

Anyway to the words inside the book now…

For some reason I kept reading this book till the very end. I was not in love with the story because I think maybe…I don’t know. I was just not in love with it. Once upon billionaire sheikhs story did it for me but this time nope it did not do it for me. And maybe the reason for reading it the end was just to know how it all ends.

I felt like there was no real burning chemistry between the characters but this is just my opinion.

Review: Archer's Voice

Archer's Voice Archer's Voice by Mia Sheridan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

When Bree Prescott arrives in the sleepy, lakeside town of Pelion, Maine, she hopes against hope that this is the place where she will finally find the peace she so desperately seeks. On her first day there, her life collides with Archer Hale, an isolated man who holds a secret agony of his own. A man no one else sees.

Archer's Voice is the story of a woman chained to the memory of one horrifying night and the man whose love is the key to her freedom. It is the story of a silent man who lives with an excruciating wound and the woman who helps him find his voice. It is the story of suffering, fate, and the transformative power of love.

Wow...just wow..
