Review: Love Me Again

Love Me Again Love Me Again by Jaci Burton
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Oh no Jaci, what the hell happened? I know it has been a while since I read one of your usually amazing books but what happened with this one? Was I the only one who literally fell asleep while reading this one?

Oh my Gosh this book was boring me to death. Are you kidding me?

AAAArrrrgggghhhhhhhhh!

The only reason I finished this book was because it was the only book in my vicinity and I needed to read something or go crazy. I didn’t want to go bat shit crazy so I kept on until the end where I had to pull myself out of boredom stupor so as to write this review.

Again I was bored.

Loretta was boring.

Deacon even more so boring.

Hazel, well she was a little angel and my only connection to sanity as I drifted through the pages.

The story had potential I sear but that potential ended like on the very first page.

Killed me.

I am a fan of Jaci’s books and I have read a few of them but this one…no, I am marking a line. This one falls into the books that make me question my sanity and not in the good way.

But who am I to judge this book eh? You go read it and come argue with me.

I am going to go find an awesome book now. One that is so awesome, it leaves me shivering a week or two after I put it down. (I hope I find some.)

Review: It Ends with Us

It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Give a girl a warning, would ya???

The one reason I got this book to read was that I was out of books to read and bored. I have never read any of Coleen’s book and this book tempted me for sure, not with the blurb though as I have recently entered a covenant to not read blurbs so as I can enjoy the book more.(does this make any sense?)

So as I started reading the book I was honestly falling in love with the writing style of the author and promising myself to get more of her books as soon as I was done with this one. And then BAM the writing got even better that it gave me the shivers…and I tell you when that happens it means everything is going on well.

I have no problem with the writing at all.

The characters…

Ryle and Lily…Awwwwwwwwwww that is all I have to say because what the hell else am I supposed to write?????

And to the secondary characters, you guys were awesome…so awesome I wanna be you guys when I grow up.

Now to the story, Holy hells of shit (is this even correct?) anyways who gives a shit, right? So back to the story, this story had me climbing hills and mountains. I swear to the heavens I was an
emotional rollercoaster because I could not see how it was going to end… completely blind because as much as I loved the characters there were certain points where I was just blindsided and my mind would roll over dead!

Holy mother!

And then the ending came…

Let me tell you that I am not one who loves for a book to ruin their night but this book it fucking did. Ruined my night completely. And I cannot even talk about what about the finale in the book that ruined it former because I need you to go read it and come over here and hate it with me.

I do have to make the statement that I do not agree with what Ryle did but …. Tears and my heart-shattering…

Anyway, I might give Ms Author here another try with another book but if it ends anywhere near how this one ended, she has to know I will be doing something to her at her if I ever lay my eyes on her…

Review: Breaking Her

Breaking Her Breaking Her by R.K. Lilley
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
DESTRUCTION. BETRAYAL. RUINATION. TRUE LOVE. Breaking Her Book Two in the Love is War Duet. This is the conclusion of Scarlett and Dante's story. SCARLETT He had done it again. Ravaged me. Burned me. Broke me. Given me air, only to leave me gasping, writhing. But then something changed. Something that terrified and excited me both. Something that utterly destroyed me. Something that made me whole again. DANTE Our love was cursed from the start. She didn't know it but I did. All she knew was that I'd lied to her, betrayed her. Done unforgivable things. Unavoidable things. Yes, I had broken promises as surely as I had broken her heart. But, just as every war has casualties, and every lie has consequences–every bastard has his reasons. .
This was a downward slope for me looking at it from book one.

Breaking him had me in twists, had my stomach in a choir with uneven voices I tell you. it gave me happy times and even though it ended with a massive cliffhanger it somehow managed to go where few books go and that is, all time favorite books.

and then I sat eagerly awaiting for book two, the conclusion of a great book. Was I disappointed? hell yes. Did I want to be disappointed? No. but it just happened.

It was still a good book, don't forget that one but not as great as the first one was.
And because I do not want to be anymore negative in this book, my review ends here.

Review: Thrown Down

Thrown Down Thrown Down by Tessa Bailey
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

He has one last chance to deserve the girl of his dreams...

Overachiever River Purcell was never supposed to be a struggling single mom, working double shifts just to make ends meet. Nor was she supposed to be abandoned by her high school sweetheart, breaking her heart into a thousand jagged pieces. Now Vaughn De Matteo is back in town, his sights set onher...and River is in danger of drowning a second time.

No one believed Hook's resident bad boy was good enough for River. Not even Vaughn himself. But he'll fight like hell to win back the woman he never stopped loving, to keep the daughter he never expected, and convince himself he's worth their love in the process--even if he has to rely on their fierce and undeniable sexual chemistry.

But even as River's body arches under his hungered touch, the demons of the past lurk in the shadows. Waiting for Vaughn to repeat his mistakes one last time....

River and Vaughn

You know how excited a child gets when they get something they love..I dunno, like sweets maybe? yes that is how I was when I got the ARC for this book and honesty I was melting with insanity for a while due to the excitement overflowing my body.

And then I got to the reading part of this book, which I instantly liked because second chance romances and secret babies are my kind of thing.

And then it was interesting reading, I liked what they were feeling but then...all of a sudden the book took a nosedive.

And I was disappointed.

And my heart broke as my interest in the book started slowly vanishing.

I think why this book was not for me was maybe the plot line...no no no...I liked the plot or rather the general idea of the author's plot but what I hated....like seriously hated was the characters' reactions.

I mean if a guy got me pregnant and he showed up after "four years of his ass missing" and then had the nerve to show up to my work pace and act like an asshole being mad that I worked in place like that... Motherfucker you will be getting the blunt part of my knife stuck in you balls I swear it.

I just want to be honest, this is my opinion so I will differ from others who have read it and loved it.

I just wanted Vaughn to act a bit more normal if that makes any sense. you know...he is nice guy but there a just moments where I thought nope, you are an idiot and I never want to feel that for any characters I read about that I am meant to love.

It all happened to fast for me...

Anyway let me end this here. and this is not my first Tessa Bailey book to read but it really disappointed me.

Review: Axel

Axel Axel by Harper Sloan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

There was a clear reason I chose to read the whole series before reviewing any of the books in it and now that I am done with the series, I have to say this one was definitely the est one of the bunch.

Izzy and Axel

You two rocked my pretty little heart. and it was only pretty cause i have a thing for second chance romances especially ones like your where I am stranded on who to side with.

You people loved each other to the point where I was like all smiles...and the SEX eh????
that was so hot.

VERY HOT!

Definitely something I will be remembering.

It was a good read and the four stars I am giving it is because it was simply that... a very very very good read.

Well now, let me scratch my mind for anything I want to write more about this book....

...nope nothing more.

It has my stamp of approval.

PS. first time I am reading this author and she impressed me a lot.
