Review: The Gift

The Gift The Gift by Julie Garwood
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh, my heart!

I read this book so long ago when I was young, and all I can say is...I loved it then, and I still love it now. It just hit me that The Gift by Julie Garwood was published in 1991, and yet here I am, still rereading it in 2025, more than three decades later. That just goes to show how a truly great book never loses its magic.

Julie Garwood has always been one of my favorite authors. I remember being completely in awe of her writing, dreaming that one day I could craft stories as beautifully as she does. And this book? It was and still is one of my absolute favorites.

It follows the sweeping, passionate love story of Nathan and Sarah, and it’s written so vividly that even after all these years, their romance still makes my heart flutter. The chemistry, the tension, the tenderness, it’s everything a historical romance should be. Sweet, intense, and utterly unforgettable.

If you haven’t read it yet, do yourself a favor and dive in. And if you have? Well, you already know it’s worth revisiting. Some stories just stay with you forever. ❤️
